Woori Yallock Farm School

Students participated in the unit Support Ecosystem Restoration by clearing out the frog breeding ponds and removing woody weeds.

In addition, we contributed to Maintaining Cultural Places, by refurbishing the ‘reconciliation garden’. Some students used the hedge trimmer, while others planted indigenous plants and cleared up leaves.
Later in the morning we took a trip to Warburton and completed a 3.2km return trip to La La Falls. Our efforts were rewarded with a beautiful view of the falls.

In the afternoon, we spent some time in the classroom discussing the topic of bushfires. This will be the theme of next week’s excursion to the Mount St Leonard fire observation tower.
