Central Australia Camp 2022. Day 3, Part 2….

We survived the night – Alice springs is experiencing an unseasonably cold start to the dry season, with an overnight temperature of -4 (the “feels like” temperature was -7.6). Prior, after crossing the NT border we had lunch at the Erldunda Roadhouse and fed some emus. We climbed ANZAC hill in Alice and had a great view of the town, before venturing back to set up our camp for the next 2 nights. We bumped into fellow YHSC families, the Rutzous and the Zammits, who are doing their own family holidays. Our day was highlighted by a presentation by Rex from Alice Springs Reptile Centre, and we woke this morning to feed some wild Australian Ringnecks.
Wishing all our staff a successful return to school today, and best of luck to all our returning students tomorrow.
