Woori Yallock Farm School

In the morning, we completed the Maintain
the Workplace unit. This included the
completion of a Building Condition Assessment
to identify maintenance items.

Later in the morning, we rode along the Lilydale to
Warburton Rail Trial. The students rode an impressive
18kms from Warburton to Woori Yallock, with a lunch
stop in Yarra Junction.
During the journey we stopped at the old train station
platforms and discussed the role of the old train line in
transporting goods, passengers, and timber between
the Upper Yarra region and Melbourne.
We also stopped at a billabong and discussed how
they were created and their role in providing habitat
for a variety of native species, including frogs.

Finally, we returned to the Farm School to complete some path maintenance tasks.
